THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING

I have been a graded member of the Temple since May 1998. I will not go into detail on how I came to the Temple, what I have come to realize over the years is that the full story of how I came to the find the Temple was Nightside in nature and might seem contradictory to others because they were not there to have my experiences.

The parts that I will tell you are that I first found the physical Temple in a book and a edge science/parapsychology magazine. When I found the Temple, the Vampire Creed spoke to my Being on a level that went beyond anything I had read before it.

In the years of being a member I have learned to not take the mean curve balls that life throws at me laying down. But to keep trying and work through the things that only build my Will to be stronger.

We are Vampires, we are living Beings, with lives that can and sometimes do fall apart, what sets us apart from mortal beings is that we do not just throw our hands up in disgust and walk away. We see the thing that is in our way and meet it head on and do what we can to get what we want in life. We are also wise enough to take a step back and take a real look at what we seek and ask ourselves if it is truly beneficial for us in the long run and ask ourselves why it is important to get this thing that we see as important, if it really is important in the grand schema of who we are or is it a distracter and detractor which takes us off course from those things which are Useful and beneficial to us.

The skills I have learned in the 10 years as a Temple member has seen me through some serious heartache and stressful situations. I have learned that as long as I am a living conscious being I have a choice to make my life good and prosperous. And I have a choice to continue to be a conscious being or to let the world take me for a ride to my death. I choose continually to be a conscious being, and to build my life the way I desire it.

I build plans for the future, and I live in the now. My life is not perfect and I often have to rethink my goals and plans. Things in life change all the time. And I change my mind at times when I see a goal that is better for me.

I have learned from the Temple’s teachings to separate myself from my body, my personality traits, and my life. I have learned to step back from it and look at it objectively. Study it, understand it. Change those things that are undesirable, enhance the things that work well for me. And to understand the parts of myself as a living being in this world that are there and unchangeable. And to accept myself, as I am, regardless. To strive to improve what I desire to improve.

I have been a member of the Temple of the Vampire for 10 years, I still feel like I am at the very dawning of my life. I am young and vibrant, and can not wait to see the world as it changes in the centuries a head. For what is 10 years to eternity?
