The Scientific Future

We offer two paths to power, wealth and the pleasures of immortality.

The first is by providing you with the necessary tools to survive the transition to the coming future.

CHANGE IS SPEEDING UP.

Advances in technology over the last fifty years are comparable to technological advances over the previous thousand years. Nearly all of those advances have occurred in the last ten years. This is because technological innovation is exponential, not linear: current tools make it easier to build better tools, which in turn can be used to build even better tools more quickly and efficiently.

This is hardly a new principle. A commmon extension of Moore's Law states that the possible parameters for computers - RAM, hard drive capacity, CPU speed, etc. - double about every two years. This has held true since the 1980's and shows no sign of slowing. Again, this is because fast, smart computers can help design and build even faster, smarter computers.

MEDICAL RESEARCH IS REVERSING AGING.

The same holds true for other areas. Medicine, for instance, has advanced more in the last century than in the previous two thousand years. We are able to cure numerous diseases today that were once considered terminal. If someone's heart stopped in the early 20th century he would be buried, but today we take him to a hospital and revive him. In 2007, a research team successfully reversed the aging in the skin of a fully grown mammal back to full youth, indicating that dramatic age-reversing technologies are on the horizon.

We provide references to this and other modern breakthroughs in our links page. The boundaries of death are pushed back farther every year - exponentially. Aubrey de Grey, Ph.D., biogerontologist from Cambridge, provides a fairly short presentation along these lines that explains why practical immortality will soon be here for those alive right now.

THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.

Because of the exponential growth in technology, the next fifty years of advance will outstrip the last thousand years by a significant margin. That is to say, we will outdo the invention of the printing press, the industrial revolution, successful flight and the advent of computers combined by the time children born today have grandchildren. Some more optimistic estimates say this will happen by the time children born today go to college.

It's hard to appreciate how this is even possible. Yet the possibility and even inevitability have been outlined by a wide range of professionals such as Dr. K. Eric Drexler, inventor of nanotechnology; Ray Kurzweil, inventor and futurist; Dr. Ralph Merkle, computer scientist and electrical engineer; and even Dr. Richard Feynman, renowned physicist and creator of modern quantum theory. We provide ample references for this in our links page so that you may discover for yourself that this is true.

THERE IS GOOD REASON FOR HOPE.

All of this converges on a message of hope. If you can live long enough and gather enough resources, you may be able to benefit from medical advances that can help you live beyond the current limits of your biology. If this continues for long enough, you will have the option of living forever via the exponential acceleration of technology.

Those who do so will be able to benefit from the power, wealth and pleasures that this future will produce. Those who do not will either die first or be crushed by their own inability to cope with the economic transitions alone.

This raises a natural question:

How can you live long enough and gather the needed resources to survive and thrive?

THE ANSWERS YOU NEED TO SURVIVE ALREADY EXIST.

In fact there are six of them.
